I have MIA for a while and I want to apologize for that. I have been super busy with my family, writing, and my blog. Yes you heard that right. I started a blog on top of all the other things I have going on. Am I crazy? Eh, maybe. But I absolutely love books; writing or reading. Starting a blog seemed like a great idea.
Miles Apart Books is slow growing, but we are growing. Authors seem to love the down to earth, support all authors, atmosphere I (and my friends who are on board with me as well) strive to achieve. So for any of my author friends (and even reading friends) out there, should swing by and check us out.
Past this news now and on to the next. I have released two books since my last post...
That leads me into my next news. You see in my MIAness (Yes I just made that a word hahaha!), I was signed by an amazing publishing company, Titan InKorp. They are an amazing group of people there. Now before you wonder how this is going to effect my book releases...It's not.
I still have complete control over when I release a book, how often, keep to my style...The only difference is they have taken the stress of getting all the formatting right for all the sites and submitting them. Oh and not to mention it is available on so many more sites now. So really it was a VERY beneficial deal to say the least.
The day I was signed, I was also offered a job there. I am not Chief Editor at Titan. LOL I am sure my beta readers are saying "Seriously?" right now and not in a bad way haha. When you write a book (even when you read one enough times to have it memorized), your mind puts in place what is supposed to be there rather than what is actually on the paper. However, having said that when I am looking at another's book it is different. For I am seeing in the eyes of a reader and not the eyes of a writer. I do my best at my job and so far have not had any complaints from those I have edited. *knocks on wood*
I have recently come across an amazing woman. Her name is Amber. She has agreed to edit my books for me. So my books should be coming to you more complete now.
Leading me to my last announcement....
This is the second book of my Hidden Secrets series (Protective Love is book 1). Though they can be read individually because the characters are family to say that some parts of the previous books are not revealed in the next would be a lie.
Fantasy Attraction will be releasing on Nov. 1st. This is Carson and Colleen's story. You can add Fantasy Attraction to your TBR lists now.
Okay I think that about catches you all up on my MIA spell there. I have been quite busy at home as well. I am doing the best I can with the time I have in a day and will be sure to keep better tabs with all my beautiful followers.
Have a Blessed day/night Everyone!
